Just saw a guy fall on Westheimer

I was at the gas station filling up and I hear a bike hit the rev limiter. I was like WTF...then I look in my rear view mirrow and I see a bike and a guy on the ground behind me. The guy was shaken up quite badly. I drove around while he was struggling to pick the bike up and I asked him if he was fine. He never answered and then he tried to take off towards the pumps and near fell again. I was like , that dude needs to calm down before riding again. I look as he takes off and noticed a paper tag on the bike which explains alot. In his little crash about 5 mph or so he ended up needing a windscreen, frameslider, left case cover, and a left side faring and turn signals. The poor guy doesn't stand a chance riding without some rider education. He was a meduim built black gentleman on a new Yamaha YZF600R wearing a blue mesh fieldsheer jacket for those that may know a guy that fits the description.

I dropped mine when I was learning, on Richmond making a left turn...it was like 100 degrees and I had a leather jacket on. Overheating (me and the bike) and hadnt had water, dehydrated. Guy in front stopped short and I made the typical n00b mistake of grabbing too much brake. Fell at like 2 mph, no big deal at all. I just remember my mind was in all different directions: I was hot, was in the middle of the intersection with cars trying to get around me, bike was on the ground and seemed to all of a sudden weigh as much as a harley. Pretty shitty, confused, mind-in-20-directions feeling, so I can see how the guy had trouble after picking his bike up.

My lessons were: wear underarmor and drink plenty of fluids when it's hot.

There are some people that even MSF can't help. Some people are just not meant to be on two wheels, much less a SS!!
