The car hit him while he was in the median, not while it was switching lanes.
also if its the uk shouldn't it be kph? meaning they weren't going that fast at the time of the crash. maybe exceeding the speed limit a bit, but to say that no one on this site hasn't done that before is bs.

edit: Also what was to avoid at that moment in time, I don't think there was much that could be done, hitting the breaks maybe. But there was no given warning to what the car did.

Even though its in England all of our gauges are still MPH and our road signs say miles...it changes to KPH in mainland Europe...so they were still bookin it

no one planned that. thats why it's called an accident. but today i followed in a vehicle behind one guy that rides some of the forest group rides. i know him well enough. but it blew me away how close he was following other cars. while having his left hand on his knee the whole time. it made me think.

I was on 59 S. this past wednesday leaving downtown headed for the Westpark Tollway around 10:30pm. I was riding alone in the center of my lane and all of a sudden right around Buffalo Speedway about 10-12 riders came fukcing flying by me. Didnt even see them in the mirrors they were swerving and moving so fast. They passed me in my own lane between me and the car next to me. Every single one of them. They had to have been doing well over 100mph in medium flow traffic. What if I had to maneuver inside MY own lane to save MY own life?

Followed them and sure enough, they all exited 610, then Westheimer headed towards the Galleria. Fukc them, you ride like a fckin , you gonna die like a . No pity from me.

If the rider in the vid was doing the limit, he woulda had time to steer or break effectively.
When you're doing twice the limit, it's hard for other's to see you coming and you still demand that they compensate for you?

Bullshit.

True ... I guess I just don't see the purpose of doing 150+ on the street. The speedo looked like it was in MPH and the report was saying they were doing trip digit on multiple occasions. I'm just of the opinion that that type of riding and the risk taking involved doesn't belong on the streets is all.

the car was passing the other car, prob. is bike was set to pass both cars.

the bike is at fault for failure to control his veh. it's his repsonsibility to make a clean pass, even when passing both cars.

oh well.

Bingo.. look at the vid. The cam bike is roughly 90, his buddy was outpacing him. As he's finishing the pass the other car beings moving to pass...and if your going to fault the guy in the car for not signalling you've gotta flag the rider for the same.

i dont completely fall for the "destiny" thing . destiny for one, is destiny for all.

you dont feel sorry for the guy who just died. but you feel sorry for the camera guy, having been there and explain?..pity for both, or pity for none. but not one or the other.. if its "destiny" both deserved what happened. or none. no in between.
