sad thing is, (on another note)...i am SURE the children will be taught from an early age to never ride a motorcycle, that all they do is kill. quite sure the biker hate wont even be their own decisions, but forced on them..

RIP and good luck to the family and children...

I agree with Challen though...that me off reading that line. It's completely unnecessary and adds nothing to the story other than fuel on the fire of those cagers that don't like bikes already. Of course they feel the need to now lump everyone in Houston on a bike in the same category as the one riding wheelies down 45. These are the kinds of things that give cagers the "don't care" attitude when they start taking us out.

This sucks. My thoughts to the kids and family.

Actually this is THE main reason my wife doesn't ride with me any more. If I go, then at least she can carry on with the kids. It also begs the question for riding parents - how's your insurance for just such an event? No, I don't sell insurance.

I have children so this hits me pretty hard. They live with the X so its not as bad. I dont know if it was to short of a time to ride that kind of trip. But reguarless it was sad. I truly hope that parents or siblings of the two will take the children and raise them to know who the parents were.

Respect to the fallen.

Age 23, both parents on a bike, young kids at home.

If you are saying to yourself, "It could have been me and how would my kids be taken care of?", then go buy $500,000 of life insurance for you and your spouse. It'll cost you about $25 a month each. If you go early, like these young parents, your kids will benefit from your generosity and always know you cared about them.

I'm 38, carry $1.5 million in term life insurance, it costs me about $90 a month. I have peace of mind that if I die on a bike, or a heart attack, my wife get a half mil, my kids a half mil, my folks a half mil. I keep it spread and it goes into trusts so no one (boyfriend, scumbag, con artist) can get it out of my wife. The kids will have enough money to pay for all that life could ever throw at em until they support themselves, my parents get to pay off all their debts and live a good life, and my wife will be free and clear with plenty of money to not ever have to work again, unless she chooses to.

I sleep at night, very well thank you. It costs me each month, but it's worth the peace of mind. Do you?
