geared also...funny my 1000 tested...all stock...i mean everything stock, not lowered or geared...JUST STOCK and with a bad rider ran like 9:60's all day long...l wonder what mine would do strapped lowered and geared
just to point out that run was on an 04 ZX10. You on an 06 Gixxer? Wonder if a stock 06 Zx10R would do better......huuummm.

2006 ZX-10R

I'm not sure if any of you remember seeing me from the other night at Outback, but I have the 2005 "magma red" orange ZX-10R. I rode to Highlands Kawasaki the other day with a friend and the guys there told me that I needed to trade and get the 2006 ZX-10R bc it makes mine run like a baby. Needless to say I was pretty , but held my composure and asked "what makes you say that". They responded with "A kid just bought an '06 10R and this was his first bike and within 3 passes he ran a 9.6 in the quarter". I could not believe how stupid some of those ignorant pieces of could possibly sound. I understand hearing this from others, but these dumbasses work at a kawi shop and were the sales people for them. It is amazing how they can sell any bikes with the lack of knowledge they have. I have a full Akropovich Evolution 2, USB3 Power Commander, tuned and dynoed @ 163.2 to the rear. I know I'm not a professional, but I am fairly decent and I ran a 10.23 @ 145mph. I would like to do more to make my bike faster but I also drive it about 2000 miles/month and want it to able to withstand that easily. I am looking to spend about another $3000 (possibly more) in upgrades, so if any has suggestions I am open to them. I'm thinking titanium retainers and valve springs, port & polishing, getting degreeable cams and having them degreed. I already have the ignition advancer and quick shifter (just not installed yet). Thank you for any suggestions.
