A few laps on the Hill

My first time to ride Oak Hill. Been there a couple times to watch friends ride.. was looking forward to it since Im used to the fast flowing sweepers of TWS (Texas World Speedway). Nothing to brag about but here is some footage.

I was running mid 1:40's on Corsa III's. I think I could have broke 1:40 if I hadnt gotten lap traffic. Fun track. Ready to go back.

Nice vid. I've never riden oak Hill. It looks to be a bit narrow in spots. Is it narrow track?

yea, especially if you're used to a big track like TWS (Texas World Speedway).. my first few laps were pretty hairy, had trouble finding the lines and breaking points and it seemed like it was barely wider than my driveway. but after 2 sessions i had learned the track enough to where the narrowness didnt bother me anymore.

Nice video. From the point of view, it looks like your laying on your hip going into the corners. Nice lean no doubt.

thanks, im thinkin if i had race tires, several more sessions, and faster riders on the track (ppl that are running the faster pace with good lines so i could follow) i could get into the mid to low 30's. i only got 4 sessions in on friday and i was starting to get a feel for the layout when i went down!

1:21 is NUTZ on that track!!

its not as bad as the video portrays.. the camera was mounted on a suction cup with an arm and just doesnt handle the vibrations well... and yes its a gopro

I just got a gopro and was just curious.. so I'll skip the suction cup mount unless it's going on a car window.

I was the rider you were overtaking when things went wrong.

Glad to hear that you enjoy riding with LSTD.

Look me up at the rider's meeting when you get your bike back together.

Fantastic.

Alright, I give you permission to post exactly what went thru your head when it happened.

My apologies.. I was getting a lil too confident I guess. I'll look you up when I get it repaired. Thanks for a fun day none-the-less. Brandon (TheHabernatho) spoke highly of you.
