aww man. I have a soft spot in my heart for sharks. Poor sharkies! They cut off their fins and throw em back in the water. Guess its not any better than other styles of butchering. I like sharks so I wont ever try to eat em

1/2 right...

it's a different direction in keeping in mind how dangerous it can be, and how doing stupid .. like double the speed limit, stunting on public roads etc can escalate that danger.

The wife and I saw a ton of squids at the ROT rally Saturday and Sunday. Very few riders spotted with full gear. Quite a few had helmets but little else. Didn't see anyone down thank goodness. I know everyone here calls 'em squids but I still call 'em organ donors, especially the no helmet ones.

First: Drop ur fkn ego at the door, we dont give a chit how badazz you are on ur bike; Im too busy riding my own.
Second, the bioch wouldnt notice nor sleep with you beforehand, what makes you think she will now you have a bike

The majority of accidents will continue to be from new riders riding outside their skill level whether it be on organized rides or overshooting/undershooting a situaiton.

Experience isnt a number. Just like the track. You dont go up in skill levels because you are fast.

I watch for everything from flat tires on vehicles to so many other things that others dont when we ride. I watch steering tires and even through windows to the vehicle infront of the one infront of me. Maybe that's why I see so much happening before they do.

People will never learn regardless of how many pass because it simply 'wont happen to them.'

But EVERYONE slows down after their first wreck. That's why many of us call it the 'christening.' Its when you realize you are infact mortal. Many, maybe half dont even get on a bike again. If that's what it takes for them to put their priorities straight, I have respect for them.

At least they survived their first wreck.

Lert me repeat something import... It's not the lack of gear that makes one a 'squid'. It's common to find them w/o gear, but thats not the primary 'factor' that makes one.

p.s. Whats the count, 3 down this weekend so far?

meh about this making sense more of a rant.
and hopefully the toll stays down low.
p.m. me, I have 5 full face helmet's and 3 armored jacket's to give away if they fit someone here... better on your head than sittin' in my garage.

You find a way to quantify that...

at least 3 accidents.. 2 of which were fatalities.

i agree people should wear gear and dont know the answer to get the point across.........i wish it was manditory that when u buy a bike u had to get gear at the same time or something like that.......what i mean by people dont pay attention to these threads is that most the people who read these on these sites already know to wear gear.........the message need to be put out there to the people that are not part of the motorcycle comunititys i dont know how that could be done though.........i guess what im saying is it's like preaching to the choir
