Pretty good racing, I am not happy that Lorenzo lost, I am just glad it was against Vale.

Best race I've seen since this year. Of course I haven't watched the others yet. I save em up and watch them all before going to Laguna to watch it all live.

I may have to cheat and watch them sooner. But THAT was a great race!

...was a really frickin' nice race to see - made me think I am watching WSBK....lol

Hope this continues and we get many more in the season. Was sooooooo glad Lorenzo got owned in the last few turns....can't stand his attitude and demeanor as a rook...way to go V...showed him where he belongs - not in first.

Start of the second to last lap, Vale tucked his knee in as he passed on the outside going into turn one. Absolutely ridiculous.............

that was an outrageous manouvere
to pass Lorenzo (who was a fraction off lap record pace) on the outside through a gap so narrow he had to bring his knee in was breathtaking
to then get it stopped and hold his line through the corner was futher evidence to the non believers that he is the GOAT

Get your arses to Laguna and see the man live

First time in the 800 era that I haven't seen the Ducati able to just blitz the Yamaha down the straight!!!
He (Moaner) was struggling to hold on in the slipstream!!!
It was said that fuel consumption was an issue for the Ducati here so they must have turned the wick down!!!

The explosion of emotion within Rossi's pit underlined the significance of the victory, and Rossi couldn't hide his delight at such a heart-stopping win.

“As we say in Italy, 'Mamma Mia!' ” beamed Rossi. “I think I can honestly say that this was one of the best and hardest wins of my career.

“The two greatest battles in recent years have been with Casey at Laguna and Jorge here, but they were very different races. At Laguna unfortunately Casey didn't make it to the end so I could relax, but here it was to the last breath.

“This was a great, great victory because it went to the very last corner and it's a long time since that has happened. I have dreamed about that move for the last two weeks and today it worked and I am so happy to have this 99th win".
“We did a perfect job all weekend and my M1 and Bridgestone tyres were brilliant, but we knew that Lorenzo was in the same situation and for sure he was very strong today.

“I had to be very brave and take it right to the limit in order to beat him. This victory today is more important than the 25 points and anyway now we [Rossi, Lorenzo and Stoner] all have the same [points], what a championship this is!” added Rossi, referring to the three-way tie at the top of the world championship.

“As well as thanking my team, I especially want to dedicate this win to my crew chief Jeremy Burgess because his mother sadly died yesterday. I have to say thank you because without him, for sure, I would never have arrived at 99 wins.

“Now I am going to go to sleep for quite a long time because I need to recover from this excitement!” the 30-year-old concluded.

One for the books to be sure!!! Rossi just letting the whipper snapper know he has a few World Championships left in him. Yamaha domination for sure, Moaner was on a restricted fuel map, anyone else notice him pretty much idle around the sighting lap? What happened to that huge power advantage down the long straights? And how about Loris' spirited ride on the 'Zuk? Gave Pedrosa fits for a few laps, gonna have to give Pedrosa some props for gritting that one out. He's got to be in some serious hurt after yet another get off in QP. Nice to see a three way tie at the top to keep it VERY interesting. Good stuff this season, was glad to see Nicky have a moment and actually make the top ten. Hopefully he has a great day testing today and we'll see him FINALLY get the Duc going his way.

what's also remarkable about Rossi's last corner pass is that no one else in any class made a pass there all weekend!
and they say you can't teach an old dog new tricks

If anyone wanted to watch the last 4 laps and wasn't able to record it, I found it on Youtube.
