Just start parking in the car space, you have the same right to it.

He's asking for the same reason I was wondering. I've never seen a parking spot that is so inclined I can't park in it. Ever.

it seems you email him first being polite and then he replied trying to start an argument.

maybe just take it to high management and get some of those car parking spots turned into bike parking?...

I like that idea. If we don't want to park in parking spaces we have two places to park bikes by the loading dock and by the bicycles. Security suggests we park in the loading dock area since its 24/7 recorded cameras, the gate is locked after hours and the MC parking is between a brick wall and 3' high concrete posts (very difficult for someone to carry bikes out).

we tried that at my job and it amounted to nothing...but its always worth a try

our problem is, there are maybe 1,000 employees not counting corporate and maybe 900 parking spots...on top of that the security calls the sheriffs in to write parking tickets for people parking in the white slashed parts of the lot ie. "the people with bikes"...its bs

hopefully everything gets squared away and yall can maybe take over a few spots

Your heaviest bike weighs, um what....550lbs wet? Leaving off the Raider, i think the rest of them are under 400lbs.

Mine is running somewhere around 800 wet. The OP's is sittin at about 700.

I know the parking garage he's talking about - some of the spaces are a LITTLE steep for something without reverse.

I'm not questioning your skill or qualifications in riding - just wondering if you've ever had to move a big bike backwards uphill.

Actually, the Raider is 730 wet. Only 1 of them is under 400.

However, I don't really see the relevance. I guess I just learned how to back into a parking spot that was sloped downhill and leave it in gear.

I always assumed that was easier than trying to move a big bike backwards uphill.

But then I seem to be one of the few that's figured out how to leave the bike towards the back of the parking spot to keep people from pulling in on top of it also.

That thing is THAT heavy? Hadnt expected that. I stand corrected.

I know what you're saying about backing into the spot. That's certainly the preferred option. I've run into a few office parking garages which require head-in parking and get really snarky when you back into the spot - bike or not. Then there's the issue of being parked on an incline to the side - leaning over uncomfortably far to one side or the other...Sure, you KNOW the bike will stay, but you cant help feeling like its just gonna fall over if someone sneezes.
