Hands free is kewl. If you can't carry a conversation while driving, you shouldn't have a mouth.

hands free required like in Cali. I could live with that. TIRED of idiots with cell phones plastered to their faces. Makes them much less aware.

Well this is funny, the lady who was hit by the bus is my Aunt Betty-Jo. And believe me when I say there is careful consideration by the city of San Antonio to ban cell phone usage while driving, this is coming straight from the mayor too. I've been guilty of talking on my cell while driving, until I discovered bluetooth makes life easy.

It will never happen until you get the police to get off of theirs. Have you ever seen one that is not on their phone?

My condolences, but if it was illegal, would it have stopped her from doing it?

+1

if they ban the cell phones, then they'll ban talking to passengers and other bullshit, the point is people need to know how to be responsible and drive, hands free head phones come with most phones now days....and some new cars come with the blue tooth to talk with

Here's the unedited version of that bus driver crashing. After slamming into the SUV, he takes his time getting out to check on his passengers and the people he hit.

I am not as worried about the hands free per say, but how do they dial with those? I watch people regularly drive well then weave erratically till they finish dialing and then continue driving normally after they put it to their ear.
Then again I pretty much only ride the freeway where interchanges are less common than side roads.
+1 to loud pipes. I don't like them, but they do seem to work (750 shadow with cobra pipes 1 encroachment in 3 months, vs 600 shadow with stock pipes 1 encroachment every other day).

No. Ticket drivers for distracted driving instead.

If you ban cell phone usage it will take longer for you or others to reach your loves ones in case of emergencies.... This is almost like cagers saying motorcycles should be ban because of those few that think the freeway is the raceway....jmo
