there is a website specifically devoted to CHL, and learning to discharge weapon while on motorcycles.

like anything else, all you need is practice to hone your skills...

here is one, but not too in depth

i wouldnt say i agree with the guy though... this was the quick link i found.

looking for the the much in depth one i found a few years ago.

but at least he does state do so as a last lesort item..try to get away by all means possible. if those options are exhausted, then use the last resort necessary.

well i wouldn't think it would be all that hard especially when the semi is about 5 ft. behind you.. He was also a marine for years so he had some training with a gun.

+1 OP's buddy/friend/whatever that fired a handgun from a moving motorcycle is not a very smart person IMO.

Yessir, not smart at all..

But i do believe since living in the houston area and there are some crazy peeps out there, it would be good to have that protection if needed. And i mean something alittle more drastic then tailgating or other stupid acts of road rage.

This is the soul reason I got my CHL. Not to shoot at tailgating traffic, but to protect myself or my family in a last resort to preserve life. I refuse to become a fish in a barrell in todays society. The fact that it has become unsafe to simply go to the local Walmart to get groceries without fear of getting mugged, shot, stabbed, or raped in the parking lot is rediculous.

+1

It's funny, the other day i was to my mom about home defense and security and she told me that she's got a loaded .357 in her room ready to go just in case.. ... i had no freakin idea. Apparently she's had it for years too.

haha...I saw this done via motorcycle mirror in Mission impossible 2 ?

What about the hit in new jack city...where the motorcycle passengers were riding back to back armed with submachine guns?

But seriously...to shoot at a car on a bike...I think you better learn to shoot with your left hand (dang u lefties). unless you are robocop you will need to be pretty close to get any type of accuracy, and your right hand will be required to bolt/break...in case the driver decides he is going to try and flatten you, or is also packing heat.

as much as i would have wanted to pull my pistol i dont think i would have. in that case i would have prolly ripped the mirror off in a drive by or punched it with my carbon fiber knuckles or put a boot to it
