I wish you'd have made a different decision and here's why:

You love the sport

You love to work with folks on the track

You're a student of the sport

You communicate well

You are a very nice guy and easy to talk to

I for one wish you would stick around as an instructor because there ain't a lot of folks like you around. Since I'm one of the politicians, I think I can offer a contrasting point of view to your post!

See you at the track, and that offer to do some endurance on the Ride Smart when it's done is always open to you

The reason why is that I do not want to be involved with these trackday politics anymore. I am at a point where I just wanna stay focused with my racing and not deal with anymore politics involved. Sounds stupid I know.....politics in trackdays? sadly though, it's not unheard of these days. B]I think MOST of us have forgotten why we do trackdays. It is for self enjoyment, stress relief, learning, improving, and the most important thing of all.....a place to do something we all love with our friends and future friends.[/B] I don't wanna have to seperate myself from my friends because they ride with this group or that group. The motorcycle community has always been about brotherhood whether on or off the track. Trackday politics is not a reason why we should abandon that brotherhood.

I am proud to say I will be attending trackdays as a happy customer whether it be with Texas Trackdays, Lonestar Trackdays, or Ridesmart. All of these trackdays have the best group of guys working with them. I have friends in every organization and i'd like to keep it that way. So this is to let all the people that I have instructed or helped along the way......that I will still be at the track to help you if needed....just without the obligation to which organization it's with. If you are not riding in the group i'm with, and the organization is okay with me going around with you in your group.....i'd be glad to help as always. For the time being, I just choose not to obligate myself to any 1 group out there.

To the active MH members that run the trackdays I have been to....

Thanks Meril and Manu of Texas Trackdays.

Thanks Steve "Macman" of Lonestar Trackdays.

Thanks Dave Wonders of Ridesmart.

Thanks Buck Beasley of Longhorn Motorcycle School.

Trackdays have probably saved my life and many other riders like myself that have no self control on the streets. My hats off to all of you and I will see every one of you guys at the track as "your friend Tony", not "Tony from this or that organization".

Thanks again everyone for taking the time to read this.....now I gotta go out and try to remind myself how to have fun at trackdays again.
Good on you Tony!

I quit RideSmart last year at the end of the season for the same reasons. All of a sudden everyone wanted to be a to me and associate me to every thing going wrong with RideSmart.

I know for a fact I had alot of friends, who would call me friends and help me out. As soon as I got the RideSmart gig, these "so called" friends turned into dicks... you don't have to look too far to see a good example of it in this forum, under the thread CMRA Mini Endurance...

I too decided I was not going to affiliate myself with anyone/organization for atleast a year and just go race for the pure passion and love of the sport.

Now I will attend track days when they fit my schedule and not because I'm getting paid to, or obliged to.

How does this affect Team Texas Trackdays in SuperBike "C" though? I had to keep my end of the deal by finishing the whole contract - hopefully you don't have to.

Good for you Tony for doing what is best for you.

Bubby and I have been blessed our friends have remained constant so far, no matter who we ride with. Let's just hope it is always that way. Time will tell.

Good luck on your continued racing success.

this affects nothing about our team.

Meril and Manu have supported us so far this season, so we will continue to and be proud to....run under the Texas Trackdays banner.

I have only decided to part ways as an "obligation" to anybody. I will still support them along with supporting my other friends at other trackday orgs.

I'm in a position where it's about choosing sides.....or it feels like that anyhow...so I choose "the sideline".

If you see me at a texas trackdays, ridesmart, lstd event.....i'm there as a paying customer just like you. so if i'm helping people out, it is by my choice and not an obligation. and that's what this thread is about.

It comes down to what's the ethically right thing to do. You do what you do so you can live with yourself in peace and still be happy doing what you do. I hope you'll still find time to give me pointers on my SV because I sure do need them.

Good on you.

Tony it was great having you as a part of our organization and we look forward to riding with you in the future. You were a huge help to us on and off track and I personally apologize for all the drama that started because of us. I wish you the best of luck with racing as well as the TTD Race Team and we will be supporting you to the best of our abilities. We will be doing our best to bring track days back to what it was meant to be ... riding and having fun with friends. Once again Tony thanks for everything you have done for us.

Manu / Meril
and all of TTD

Much respect Tony. Although you weren't able to follow me around the last few TDs; you still took the time to walk over to me and give invaluable advice, which improved my lines tremendously.

Looking forward to working with you out there.
