trackday politics and me....

I regret to inform everyone that I will no longer be with Texas Trackdays as an instructor. They have done nothing but good for me and I thank Meril and Manu for their support so far this year. They run a good operation and I was glad to be a part of their family. Thanks TTD and Staff for everything.

The reason why is that I do not want to be involved with these trackday politics anymore. I am at a point where I just wanna stay focused with my racing and not deal with anymore politics involved. Sounds stupid I know.....politics in trackdays? sadly though, it's not unheard of these days. B]I think MOST of us have forgotten why we do trackdays. It is for self enjoyment, stress relief, learning, improving, and the most important thing of all.....a place to do something we all love with our friends and future friends.[/B] I don't wanna have to seperate myself from my friends because they ride with this group or that group. The motorcycle community has always been about brotherhood whether on or off the track. Trackday politics is not a reason why we should abandon that brotherhood.

I am proud to say I will be attending trackdays as a happy customer whether it be with Texas Trackdays, Lonestar Trackdays, or Ridesmart. All of these trackdays have the best group of guys working with them. I have friends in every organization and i'd like to keep it that way. So this is to let all the people that I have instructed or helped along the way......that I will still be at the track to help you if needed....just without the obligation to which organization it's with. If you are not riding in the group i'm with, and the organization is okay with me going around with you in your group.....i'd be glad to help as always. For the time being, I just choose not to obligate myself to any 1 group out there.

To the active MH members that run the trackdays I have been to....

Thanks Meril and Manu of Texas Trackdays.

Thanks Steve "Macman" of Lonestar Trackdays.

Thanks Dave Wonders of Ridesmart.

Thanks Buck Beasley of Longhorn Motorcycle School.

Trackdays have probably saved my life and many other riders like myself that have no self control on the streets. My hats off to all of you and I will see every one of you guys at the track as "your friend Tony", not "Tony from this or that organization".

Thanks again everyone for taking the time to read this.....now I gotta go out and try to remind myself how to have fun at trackdays again.

& +1 for not wanting to deal with the politics...it's takes the fun outta a lot of things! I don't blame you one bit if there is anything less then fun associated with it for even one second wanting to eliminate that.
no problem. it was definately my pleasure helping and watching you progress throughout your few trackdays. i'll still be around, so don't be afraid to ask for help still....me helping people wasn't an obligation, it was my choice.

Well said my good man....... I see you are using some of the things we talked about last night. Trackdays aren't fun anymore and haven't been for some time now because of the political BS. As I told you last night, I was kicking around selling the R6 and just going to play in the dirt. But I really think I would miss riding with my friends and having fun at triple digits. I think its time to find the fun again and go play.

So, can I talk to you now? We're friends again? SCHWEET!!!!!

**** the politics.... I'm friends with 'em all and intend to keep it that way. If you don't like me or don't want to associate with me b/c of the orgs. I run with....then you weren't a friend to begin with.
