Newish track in austin

not sure how long it has been in existence but i was just informed about it.

It seems to be catering only to the car and bicycle world but maybe we can work something out one day and test the track out.

http://www.drivewayaustin.com/main/c...ck-description

yes, it's flat which sucks but another track won't hurt my feelings

had no idea.
Calendar looks empty enough to add some moto trackdays.

Google earth shows no track at the location.

Just saw previous post about calendar, so I'm guessing it's up and running.

Have they fixed the issue with the cement walls right off the side of the track? Saw a video of this place a while back with them. Looks like fun in a car, but I wouldn't want to ride a bike at speed on some of their track configurations there with their old barrier setup.

That's what I had heard too. NOT cycle friendly. Anyone want to bring back the old cycle tracks w/ haybales? Bueller? Bueler?

Some in-car footage here:

Check out the corkscrew section at 0:30. Looks like it's steep enough that if they didn't slow down speed using cones, you'd get major air and crash the vehicle into the flats. Holy Toledo.

I wouldn't wanna run that track in or on anything. And the idea of training teen drivers on a track with 5 feet of run-off is ludicrous. I'd rather take my chances on the "ring"/

Thats the beauty of the term T.A.D.
The people who shut down the AMA motard races in Austin are inherently T.A.D.s!

..this is the track that caters to Austin Ambulance and PD for training purposes. They did not build this track for roadracing purposes.
There are many items that make it hard to host track days there.
