Edit First post option. . .

Can we get the option to edit post#1 in a thread we create?
It's easier to read the updated first post vs sift through pages and pages to find out info like an event being cancelled or an item being sold already, or even fix a link that doesnt work. Catch my drift?

I agree, but in the meantime, the OP can just report the post to a mod and ask for what ever changes they need made to be done.

We're here to help.

If the OP is diligent in his/her posts, then they will either post everything in Post #1 correctly or they will make the update noticeable and forward it to the last page, thereby bumping there thread + boosting post count lol

Editing Post #1 could cause more problems where people may not notice the updates in Post #1 because they are looking for updates on the last page?

Dood, for quick example, say I'm parting out a bike and have a whole list of stuff for sale, now when people read this, the first post is the most important and as the thread goes on, I can list off what is sold or even delete some stuff to reduce the clutter. Or if I'd like to add updated pictures and things like that to my first post. A lot of posting goes on in threads so it's hard to find an update of WTF is going on when its buried somewhere in a thread. BTW, when the post is edited, it doesn't bump the thread. Anyways, just a suggestion, thought it'd make things better and more efficient.

A nat'l forum im on uses this and it has proven to be very useful.

Sounds like a good idea.

I believe the R1 Forums have this as well, and it helps to keep from having to search through 20-30 pages just to see what has been sold or not.

Yeah, would be useful to have the ability in the classifieds.

+1 I don't think other sections will benefit as much as these two will.
