Buying a helmet from Overseas
So ther eis a helmet that I have wanted for quite some time now, and when it came out over here three years ago it was like $700. Now its been a few years and I found a shop in England that has it, and its really cheap $350 us dollars including shipping. It sounds too good to be true right? I got the link off the Moto GP website if you go to rossihelmets.com it has a link there to buy it from two different motorcycle shops or whatever. So does anyone have any experiance with this? Think I should do it? Also would it be street and track legal its' not DOT or Snell but it has been sold in the states and I am sure there has to be some protectin laws over there to sell a helmet? Any input will help. Thanks everyone.

The helmet will carry an ACU Gold Standard badge if it is for the UK market.
This is applied by the importer.
The importer(s) in the US would simply apply a DOT badge!!!
I know of some helmets that were imported directly from Japan that by passed the official importers and carried no approval badges!!
this might help
I've tried to find the helmet/shop you're referring too.
PM me a link and I'll have a look at it for you.
I found a helmet I like though
