I have NOTHING on vmaxgirl for ride ability or speed, but I do love my V-Max. Corners like a pig in rut, but there is nothing like it for my 42 mile highway commute to work.

It wasn't made for twisties, so comparing it to a 600 is way - WAY - off the mark.

if u get a first generation there are tons of stuff you can do and some you NEED to do.
also we have a couple really good yamaha venders that gives us a great discount on yamaha parts. ususally around 40-50% off list.

put some progressive springs in the front.
get the seat redone, a v-max guy named sean morley does a great job.
metzler me 880 on the bike. slighly wider bars.
