Vmax compared to a 600 SS

How does an older VMax compare to a modern SS power and handling wise. I love my 600 but I;d like something a little more comfortable I was just wondering how they compared.

Meaner and vmaxgirl both LOVE theirs. Maybe, if you're nice and have $$$ for them to hold, one of them will let you ride it.

handling, no comparison.. power, pretty close on HP but the 'max will squash a 600 in torque

It should do fine up to a point. But it is old tech chassis, and not particularly light. Best to use the point and shoot approach... slow into the corners then launch out on the straights.

It "can" keep up a decent pace, but you have to be willing to hang off more, due to weight and clearance, and be willing to toss it around a bit. It will be harder in the tighter stuff, like say the canyon on 336, to keep up with anything sporty, of course depending on riders involved.

It was designed to take the 1/4 crown away from the sport bikes back when it came out... but it is a cruiser at heart, not a sport bike.

sounds like you need to look more into the sport tourers, or something like a Bandit or FZ1 or Zrx, with a better seat and more upright seating.
