Looking at rear seat bags

I'm looking to get a rear tank bag for a 4-5 day excursion around TX on the Speed Triple...currently looking at the Kriega US-40.

http://www.matrixmotosports.com/products/kriega-us-30

Anyone have any experience with these? Do I need the 40-liters of the 40 or would a 30 liter suffice?

40 liter: $220

30 liter: $169

I'm not sure. I've never done a long trip like that. I tend to overpack though.

I read on the advrider forums that this brand has a solid reputation backing it. Any other thoughts?

I figure that I might as well spring for the 40, since the bags are "buildable."
