Angry COPS HATE BIKES!

I dont get it. Everyday coming home there is 85-90% of the drivers doing a good 65 or 70 in a 55mph.(Highway 6) And the second that I give a little throttle to get around 65 there is a cop! what kind of is that? go for the bike rather than the car!! There can be 15 cars doing 15 over and 1 bike doing 5 over and who gets the ticket? pathetic!

cops pick on people that stand out... bikes, rare cars, bright colored cars all stick out like a sore thumb. You can't tell me that when ur on the road, u dun notice a bike, yellow car, or ferrari more than u notice a civic can you? Anything uncommon will catch ANYONE'S eye... i have cops tailing my in my saleen all day long while people are passing me left and right... it just comes with the territory. They notice you more, and if it's something fast, they'll want to stop you for something stupid. i got stopped for "insufficient tread" on my left rear tire on the saleen... sad too cuz it was a brand new tire... heh.

What he said. I drive a VERY bland dull silver chevy regular cab pickup. I've blown past cops while seriously exceeding the speed limit. Never been ticketed in my truck. My old camaro, however, is another story. :eh:

same here, i drive my plain-jane honda accord around and no one gives me any trouble at all, but when i take the primered mustang out with the tach and gauges all up on the dashboard, i get the eye from every cop lucklly that car is all current on the stickers and tags ....but whats the deal with the cops flashing thier lights at bikes?? i had a cop do that to me driveing down the other side of the road yesterday (median in the middle) ive heard that most cops wont pull a bike over unless they can get the plate number first incase the bike runs, anyone else know??

i heard that too... but it dun take more than 3 secs to get down a license plate... it makes sense though, if the bike isn't stolen and they have ur plate, why risk a chase? just go to your house and pick your up. lol.

also pathetic is that people would actualyy give a thought to running while in their bike, but stop w/o hesitation when in the cage, why is that? you bought a land missile to ride it slow?

and how often you read on forums of peeps on bikes running vs cages? hmmm...........makes you wonder.........NOT really, they have a reason to pick on US , don't like it, sell the sportbike and buy a cruiser.

because certain races have a stigma of being criminals, just like sportbikes have of running, do the cops have the right to pick on them too? NO! but does it happen? sadly yes

I know you didn't! It is not that we women are never happy. I am sure they are just never happy with you! Just kidding David!

I sold my F2 this week and gave the guy your card to come and take the MSF class! Told him it was worth the drive from LC!

I don't know about all bikes, but last Saturday they really seemed to like my Busa. Got stopped 3 times.................no tickets, no warning's, just checked me and the bike and we all went on about our business.
Twice on 290, and once on 288..............I felt kind of special by the end of the day.
