Pins, rocker boxes. Latest greatest tech! I'm not bashing, just saying what I see.

Good luck getting the 1200 running!

Maybe cruisers are more reliable but all the new Harleys from 2004 to date are more reliable that the older HD's, and one good point about the HD name and image is the resale value..!!!! You can not beat that. Wish I can afford the new V-ROD Muscle perhaps the Suzuki Boulevard M-109 is a more powerful bike but Harley-Davidson is a whole motorcycle culture. If you are happy with a metric cruiser is OK. I just do not understand why so much hate against Harley-Davidson bikes.

ok, I'm late in this one, but yes, HD is antiquated, pushrod styled, aircooled and the yap bikes are water cooled, overhead cam, more HP, more reliability for the money.
and you know I know what I speak of, I'm a multiple HD owner and ,multiple yap bikes as well.
you are indeed paying more for less just to get the "name" and so called prestige of owning a hd.
I love em, but seriously, the next cruiser will be .
sorry, but you asked for facts

and if the priginal poster hasnt gotten the bike fixed yet, call me.
