The Fieldsheers have worked well for us and others over the past few years. I personally have crash tested one in turn 1 at TWS (Texas World Speedway) 2 years ago, and Brandon, John, Steve-O and a bunch of others have went down in them with good results as well.
Teknic has really improved over the last 3 years as well.
They are the ONLY gloves I wear currently, and they have held up extremely well for myself and my team. Tim Miller just hit the wall in 8a at TWS (Texas World Speedway) and they did thier job.
Pricing on the Fieldsheers is under $500.00 and the quality is comparable to suits going for twice the price. I've got some at the shop so we can get you fitted correctly.

Patrick

About the teknic gloves...I've noticed a difference in stitching and general quality between gloves sourced by teknic in china and those made elsewhere, such as pakistan. The Chinese gloves are generally not as well made. Compared to icon and even many alpinestars, teknics like the violator and speedstar lines are superior for less money.

i know im probably goin to go down. and i didnt want to spend 2g's on a suit.. i know they have other ones that are like 4-5hundred but why would those be any better then mine. with a price comes quality.
look at the boy get all pissy.

look man, i'm giving you some opinions, don't like it, tuff........you;ll live.

as for rental, i hope you have some sort of businness insurance, cuz if one of those suits comes apart, guess who the renter is gonna go after, ask patrick, i'm gonna bet he has a waiver he makes people sign, and even then he has insurance for his rentals.

your right, chances are high for going down. you can gamble on the suit holding together, i won't. i'd rather spend $1k (see my earlier post about my suit) and know my skin will be intact vs $300 and gamble........... dress for the crash.

the suit efmang has is in very good shape and all the stiching looks strong. its Dianese and if it was good enough back then for GP stars, its good enough now for the occasional track day.

not every brand and model is the same, neither is the type of crash you will have.

in the day..........this is 20yrs later.......the suit maybe older then you......:laughing6

but keep an eye on the stitching, kinda like cars , even though it's not been used, that doesn't mean it's not deteriorating.
