Tannish gray is not specific enough. Depending on your definition that could be fine or not. You may want to show it to someone proficient to get their opinion.

Maybe pull a spark plug and take a pic of that, that might help as well.

if u have the money hook up a wideband o2 snr that will tell you the exact air/fuel ratio live as the bike is ran through the rpm band. stoich is @ 14.7 a/f ratio most auto and moto will run @ this a/f ratio, but when @ WOT some run as low as 12.1 a/f. FYI (lean is mean) more HP/but u sacrafice higher engine temps..and too lean well sacrafice the engine.

When you mess with the stock set up of the bike (aftermarket exhaust) the ECU has to compensate for what is lost or gained in the matter of a/f ratio(adaptive strategy) unless you have any tuning done to the ECU. FYI =the ECU see's so many parts of air consumption/ how much exhaust back pressure you have. it adj a/f ratio in the way of +/- fuel rate by the fuel injectors.

lmao think i went to far into this but hope this helps u understand.

most def pull tha plugs... brown/gry plugs are good... black is rich, and white is lean/hot... funny muffler color can come from gas, additives, burning oil/coolant etc. the sniffers at most shops r too slow and the readings at tha muffler arent as good as at tha header

with todays unleaded fuels you can't tell anything by the pipe or plugs.... best bet is to put it on a sniffer if you are worried.

They will pop on decell when they are borderline lean

it does have the k&n and the slip on that is why its lean!

12 to 1 would actually be rich. 16 to 1 would be lean.
