Flies out and full exhaust

Ok so If I have a full exhaust and take out the flies will it cause any damage to the engine if I don't get it tuned? I mean eventually I want a PCV but just wondering...

and is it really worth taking out the flies?

You can slap the exhaust on and it will be ok temporarily with no tuning, I would not pull the flies out until you are ready to tune it. It will likely put lean spots in the fuel curve right where you ride a lot..... I would just wait until you can afford to do it all at the same time. Do it right the first time.

It will definitely lean out the fuel curve. Some people have done it without issue but it is definitely not recommended. Spend the $300 and get a power commander before you pull the flies. You will love the low rpm power and lose the big hit at 6000 rpm.

I wouldn't recommend pulling the flies without the PC. You can get by with a base map for a short time but I wouldn't go too long before a custom tune.

The lean spot is in prime riding RPM's.

But........it has to be done. This bike is begging to be unlocked by pulling them out. Fastest and easiest mod out there.
