Glad you're ok.

Saw the title and thought the trash truck had showed up early on one of your diving adventures or something

WOW Mala, I'm glad you are okay!! That is a very dangerous intersection. I was in an accident there years ago and my car was totaled.

I learned this lesson in a very frightening way. I was sitting at BW8 and West Lake Houston Pkwy. I was waiting for the light to change so I could cross BW8 going east. It was a little late and I wasn't really paying attention. When the light turned green I managed to stall the Ninja. I never do that! Just about the time I hit the starter, an 18 wheeler plowed through the red light. He had blown that thing by about 3 seconds and I never even saw him. I made the last few miles shaking. If I hadn't stalled... well - there wouldn't have been much left of me.

Glad you were unharmed! If you're like me, you'll never "forget" to double check again.

Yikes, glad your okay save for being shook up. I saw the glass today. That intersection is less than a mile from my house. (shudders)

Mala it probably wouldn't hurt to call your PD and go by if you have time and give said statement of your best recollection of what happened.

Surely it wouldn't be considered failure to render aid as you called 911 and left the scene after the authorities had arrived.

. I didn't think about that. There were a swarm of people who stayed to physically help (who were in the intersection) and the emergency response folks showed up amazingly quick. The only thing I was thinking about was calling 911. It's really retarded, but I have no idea what it was that came thru the intersection...I only saw the lights coming toward us then a car spinning across the intersection. I was focused on not running into the back of the car in front of me. I guess HPD are the folks I should call--I don't think it's Webster city limits.
