I think Edwards would love to stay in motogp but is keeping his options open by talking WSBK.
He certainlt does enough in qualifying to warrant his place in the Tech3 team but race results could be better I guess.

Yeah, but he could make a lot more money in WSBK. That is until Gonzo and Tony pick up a ride!!!!

Colin maybe.. maybe not. It's been noted that Aprilia is one of the few teams that can meet Colin's salary expectations.

There are quite a few guys that are actually paying to ride in WSBK.

They have to bring their own money.. be it out of pocket, ala Xaus @ Sterilgarda, or with personal sponsorship.. Hopkins? (or pretty much any spanish rider, lol)

Another option is Edwards can just retire and spend his time training me and wooping me into shape..............then I will take over and carry on his legacy of 5th place finishes!!!!

This should squash it?

MotoGP rumour this morning is that 250GP star Alvaro Bautista has signed a pre-contract to ride for the Suzuki MotoGP team in 2010 - putting an end to the speculation that the blue bike squad was trying to get Ben Spies back on side after the American moved to Yamaha this year.

Edwards finished 5th last year in points I believe not bad for a non factroy ride. Plus he has done way better than Toseland so far between all of last year and so far this year

At this point is not clear if it will be Spies or alvaro or Alonzo, remember that ther rule is NO ROOKIES in factory teams, so options are Tech3 Yam, Pramac Duc, Scott, Gresini, LCR. Suzuki is the only factory with no sattelite team so they may change the rules to bring more audience.

BTT, spies will be crazy accepting the deal and i am with TuroZ, this is just PR, Spies wants to ride with Rossi but will settle for a Tech3

This is a new rule for 2010,
a rookie cannot ride for a factory team!!!
You have to believe Suzuki will be fielding a least one "customer" bike next year because of it.
