ok we're back. had a few beers and just finished BBQ'ing. still got a whole cooler to kill. taken a few pics along the way, i'll make a trip report when i get back. 2222 is the scariest, most technical, most fun road i have ever ridden. crazy hairpins, cliffs, and chicanes with blind corners and decreasing turn radii. i thought i was gonna die...twice. there is some neighborhood we rode through with a 'super chicane' as my buddy calls it. long left hand sweeper going downhill, right into a sharp right sweeper going uphill. that t was awesome. and theres still some party to go to tonite! camera is almost out of batteries, so we'll see. its gonna suck riding back to houston.

no way you can haul azz through 2222 and make it out alive, i saw bike debris on some of the corners, buddy told me this road eats bikes and people alive. in the back of my head all i could think off was 'i should be at the track'.

2222/Lime Creek/Violente Rd is awesome!! My cousin and I were both riding two up on that road last fall and it was the most fun I've had yet on the bike. Like a freaking roller coaster! I'm thoroughly jealous...

I was also in Austin this weekend. But I was in my car. I had my best friends wedding to go to.

I went out there last year with Azylum...they have the best roads out that way by far. We took a route that included 2222 / Lime Creek and all of those good ones.

I actually while I was out there took the car down Lime Creek and 2222 to show my G/F. Also took her up to the Oasis to eat.

2222 isn't that bad of a road. Most of it is 2 lanes on each side so you have plenty of room on the road w/ shoulders. I know there are sweepers and some pretty tight turns, but dont remember any hairpins though. I was crusing pretty good on 2222 with my car...... Lime Creek on the other hand is only 1 lane each way with no shoulders, Hairpins, steep cliffs and everything. That road is a fun one and one the needs to be respected.

I think 1431 between Austin and Marble Falls is much better then 2222

I've been down that road before. Nice flowing with not to much traffic. And has a great view.

2222 is too close to the city and you have alot more traffic. It is a fun road, but with all the cars you really cant get in a good grove.

Either way Lime Creek Rd, beats just about any road that I have ridden by far.

It sucks I was out there in my car this weekend..... I remember riding that road last year, and after this weekend I really want to go back ou there and ride it again.

Lime Creek Rd > all

yea i was a bit unclear, lime creek is the crazy fun 2 lane road with no shoulder and all the technical stuff. 2222 is more of a relaxed cruise. it still felt funny taking those turns next to cars

all in all good weekend, put a little over 400mi on the bike. will def be riding lime creek again.
