Scorpion Helmet- Part Recall

Two months ago I ordered a scorpion helmet. (Stubbs didn't have my size, so they ordered it.) I picked it up and it was still in sealed box. Well as I was riding home, I looked over my shoulder to change lanes and the visor poped open/up. ...I was only doing about 65-70mph. Anyhow fought with the dumb thing for 3 days... I took it back to Josh at Stubbs and we discovered the clip mounts for the visors were deformed. Also this was the same to many of the helmets on thir shelfs. Josh and scorpion immediatey fixed this problem and Scorpion sent me a extra set free! Awesome, and thanks to Josh at Stubbs and Scorpion!

If any one else has problems with their visor comming open or not getting a good seal, check the clips that are screwed onto the helmet!

Also I'm not sure how Scorpion is dealing with this other than when a customer goes into a dealer with complaints since you dont "register" helmets...lol

Going to pick up a part from Josh today so I'll have him take a look. I know that the day I bought my tinted visor from Stubbs I had this same problem but just assumed that it was my fault for not putting the visor on correctly b/c I haven't had the problem since

Yeh when I first had the problem I assumed it was "user error" ...lol but when I changed visors and both visors had the problem on the new helmet, and neither visor had problems on the old helmet I knew something was up with the new lid!!!

Not too long ago, I had the same problem. I lost both my clear and smoked visors due to what I thought was human error as well. I looked left/right to change lanes, and they were gone down the highway. One on 45 and the other on 610 within a span of 3 days. I went to Cycle Gear to order new parts. Scorpion replaced the defective parts for free, but I had to pay for a new visor. It's been fine ever since though.

Is there a way to find out which helmet models are involved in the recall?

I had one of my Scorpion visors actually flip open and fly off the helmet. The part being recalled caused it to flip open and a little sliver of plastic on the twisty knobs thingies broke off and cause it to become unattached while in flight. The wind noise going from 80 to 150 decibels in a split second scared the living out me. LOL. Fixed it and it hasn't happened since though.
