The new harleys have a keyless start on them, my sisters boyfreind has a 09 ultra glide or whatever it is and he hasca remote key fob like an alarm fob that works alot like the new corvettes and highend sports cars. The fob has to be within 20-30feet for the bike to run/start. Pretty cool lil add on. I am sure if someone got the module and fob they could wire it up and make it work. No thefts that way too.

Why wood u want to pay for a hi dollar keyless start when u can buy an on off switch ur self and wire it I'll take pics of the endurance bike it doesn't looked rigged I wouldn't suggest it for a steer bike but def for a dedicated race or track bike

with the key fob only the person with the fob can start it, any joe on the street track or whereever can start your bike if all you have is a toggle/rocker/push button switch. Idk but I would want my bike stolen just because of a little switch that bypasses the ignition key switch, esp. a track bike that has quite a bit invested into the suspension and motor.

Cool, please post some pics, it would be greatly appreciated.

I seriously couldn't take this key ignition off soon enough.

lol, well unlike most i have some serious bad luck, and when i highsided at TWS (Texas World Speedway), my bike flipped numerous times and the head of my key broke off in my ignition, so that was that, after that, i put it to an on off switch, no reason buying a new lockset for 150 or so dollars when it could happen again.

If it is a track bike, then it really should never be left alone long enough to worry about it being stolen. My dedicated track bike is sitting in my garage all day everyday until track day rolls around. The bike is never driven anywhere on the street and left outside, as it is not street legal.

So a switch set up on a dedicated track bike should have no issues on being stolen, unless you leave your bike out somewhere unprotected all day.

Most stolen bikes aren't ridden off anyway. They're most dumped into pickup beds or vans.
