Noobs shouldn't even think of their lap times... they should be working on throttle control, shifting, braking and smoothness.

Your times will drop as you progressively learn those skills.

Well, I only say that because I never rode it 100% even on the straits I was at 75% throttle. I still have a lot of early braking till I get more aquainted with msrh. I was only out there for 10 laps or so. I was also very weary about running hard on a brand new tire. Maybe I'd only drop a few secs I unno. Time will tell.

is anybody else upset that the "pro" photographer only took pics in one area on the track? i looked through about 2k pics and they all are the same. they had some great corners trhough out the whole track for great pics. looks like the amateur photographers took better pics.

thought the keyhole pics r kinda decent, but he shld hv probably moved around to other corners. at my last ridesmart track day too, he just took pics in horseshoe at TWS (Texas World Speedway), nowhere else. guess he doesnt like moving around :icon_smil

I wonder what the policy is on free lance photography at track days and race events?

Here's the deal. If your into taking pictures and work corners bring your camera to any event. As for free lance work good luck with making any sales. Also if you want to get on the track in any corner you better have permission form LSTD, RideSmart or MSR-Houston first. LSTD has let me in the past take shots out on varies corners and move around during sessions. Send them all emails and post up if your going to be out taking shots. Kevin Gibbs has been around for many years and has a great reputation amongst the Trackday Organizations. He does quality photos and puts the shots on CD as well. I'm suprised as much as you he didn't drive around that day and take other shots.

guy who takes pics with LSTD is cool...moves around in the dirt on his 636.

first time i saw him, i was cornerworking, and almost raised a yellow flag thinking somebody had ventured off track before i noticed he had the "extra" gear around his neck lol!!
