from 130mph + I could not pass Curt on my liter bike. I was at his rear quarter panel when my 06 1000RR -1 with Akrapovic slip on, ran out of pull near 175ish and he began to pull me. All in the span of maybe 1.5 miles....maybe less.

And unless you are one bad mthr fkr on a route..and I am talking BAD MTHR FKR, you will get passed. Especially on anything less than a litre bike If there is traffic and you split cars you might can get away. But at 3am, no traffic....I am taking the car.

But it wont ever happen so who cares.

And that 175 was indictated. I am sure it was closer to 150ish.

I was indicating 175 on that run and my speedo is pretty accurate.

It's not out of the question to have this happen. I show up in the car every now and again.

there are a lot of cars out there that will smokes 600. From stand still to 1/4, 600 will win but on the road roll on, cars will catch up around 120+mph. On a liter bike, a car needs about 800hp to take the liter bike from a roll on. With that kind of hp, it might even beat liter bike from a dig. I have raced a mercedes amg twin turbo sl. That thing can haul . The driver can drive too but he wasn't experienced as maxgs, plus I had track experience. If I didn't have track experience, he would have beat me. It was fun at the moment but looking back, I got lucky that no one got hurt.

The aero on the bikes kills them on the top end. It doesn't take 800 hp to outrun a liter on the top.

The ZR1 has a better aerodynamic profile than a motorcycle. And Aerodynamic drag = 1/2 D x A x Vsquared

In this equation, D is the density of the air, A is the frontal area of the moving shape, and V is its velocity relative to the air.

It's physics.

no, it doesn't but in my experience racing various sportcars ranging to 600hp, none has beat me up to 150mph. I am sure some of the cars will beat me if we had more rooms/road to go.

the 911 and i had a moment together just not long ago. it was fun. maybe curt was just effin with me but if not it was a good little comp. my gti pulls steady and hard to 176 mph limited by gears. the initial pull of the na 911 vs the spool time of my car was the key. i just could'nt make it happen. but it would be close on my little stretch of the hardy. lol. care to straighten me out curt? were you just effin with me?
