are you serious? when I was 17 (I'm 22 now) I got arrested and it was a Class B Misdemeanor, now its a felony? that's fkin ridiculous.

So what is the point in stopping for the people who race now? If Racing is a Felony, and Evading is a felony...why stop? either way you are getting a felony.

Glad I know this now.

just looked up the law...it isn't a felony unless you have multiple offenses of the same exact charge, and/or have an open container while racing or are intoxicated or cause death/bodily injury as a direct result of the act.

ァ 545.420. RACING ON HIGHWAY. (a) A person may not
participate in any manner in:

(1) a race;
(2) a vehicle speed competition or contest;
(3) a drag race or acceleration contest;
(4) a test of physical endurance of the operator of a
vehicle; or
(5) in connection with a drag race, an exhibition of
vehicle speed or acceleration or to make a vehicle speed record.
(b) In this section:
(1) "Drag race" means the operation of:
(A) two or more vehicles from a point side by side
at accelerating speeds in a competitive attempt to outdistance each
other; or
(B) one or more vehicles over a common selected
course, from the same place to the same place, for the purpose of
comparing the relative speeds or power of acceleration of the
vehicle or vehicles in a specified distance or time.
(2) "Race" means the use of one or more vehicles in an
attempt to:
(A) outgain or outdistance another vehicle or
prevent another vehicle from passing;
(B) arrive at a given destination ahead of
another vehicle or vehicles; or
(C) test the physical stamina or endurance of an
operator over a long-distance driving route.
(c) [Blank]
(d) Except as provided by Subsections (e)-(h), an offense
under Subsection (a) is a Class B misdemeanor.
(e) An offense under Subsection (a) is a Class A misdemeanor
if it is shown on the trial of the offense that:
(1) the person has previously been convicted one time
of an offense under that subsection; or
(2) the person, at the time of the offense:
(A) was operating the vehicle while intoxicated,
as defined by Section 49.01, Penal Code; or
(B) was in possession of an open container, as
defined by Section 49.031, Penal Code.

if it is shown on the trial of the offense that the person has
previously been convicted two times of an offense under that
subsection.
(g) An offense under Subsection (a) is a felony of the third
degree if it is shown on the trial of the offense that as a result of
the offense, an individual suffered bodily injury.
(h) An offense under Subsection (a) is a felony of the
second degree if it is shown on the trial of the offense that as a
result of the offense, an individual suffered serious bodily injury
or death.

The steering looked smooth and the tires sticky because John Heinricy was driving. He has something like 13 scca national championships. He's one heck of a driver. I saw at the end of the video it said 1:38 was the best time; but they were saying 1:37 at the track.

Agreed. Heck the C5 z06 was outstanding with it's 405 hp. I can only imagine 505 hp.

If you choose to play with the new ZR1, you'd better bring some horsepower or race from a standstill. Even then, it's wickedly fast with a good driver.

At speeds above 100mph, the 'vette has the advantage. For $100K I'd still buy a Porsche turbo or a 2 year old Ferrari but there is no denying the new ZR1 is formidable!

The only way that car is going to take a bike is if your a dumba$$ and dont know how to ride.. I don't usually mess around on the streets racing but I recently had some on 45 N running beside me revvin the engine tellin me to go, He was older with a younger girl so you know he was trying to be cool so I had to put him in his place and show him that his car isn't $hit.

I dont think a gsxr600 would be a close match with a z06 let alone a ZR1

I agree over priced! with the 30k over sticker, but for all the Carbon Fiber it has on there, the blower, and the HUGE braking system! I think 120k is worth it...

Really. Perhaps you'd like to try me in my little car. It has even less horsepower than a C5 Z06.
