Spray some WD-40 in the key hole and work the key around in it...

I've done it several times... everyonce in a while I spray some in there just to keep it working smoothly. If you've had your bike out in the rain the water gets in the key hole and and makes everything stick.

make sure when you wash the bike, put a piece of electrical tape over the hole.

never covered my ignition when washing my bike. half the time U just left the key in there. It's not much worse then it getting rained on. Never had any major issue. All the bikes I have had had troubles with the ignitions after alot of use. Just get some graphite and pour it in and turn the key every which way and wiggle it around and spread the graphite and it works like new!

I would also recommend getting a spare key or two, because the key will wear alot too and cause the tumblers not to turn all the way into position too.
