little things

well i was driving down 290 and i started to smell some burning from my bike. when i got home i find that some screws where missing from body fairings. Im not totaly shure if this is the problem, but the bike is new and only has 389mi on it. also does any one know where i can get these screws asap? i just need 3 of them on my ninja 650r. i dont think there is any place open on monday.

Try ace hardware for metric screws.

are these screws stainless steel you think? so they dont rust in the weather.

you can get bolts or screws at any hardware or auto store wont look as good but will do the job

If the bike is that new and has less than 400 miles on it, and if you bought it from a dealership, I would think about bringing it to them. Don't know if they will replace the fasteners for you, but I would FOR SURE have them figure out what is possibly burning.

the burning may just be the new engine breaking in , all new engines have that new burn smell first few hundred miles, but still get it checked out since its still under waranty

the bolts are either stainless or aluminum, i am sure the dealer will take care of you. least we did when i worked at a kawi dealer.
