Place in Katy area to change a tire?

I'm looking for a shop in the Katy area to put a new rear tire on a rim for me. I already have the wheel off the bike and a new tire read to go on. I know Motorcycles Unlimited has a great deal for MHers on this, but I just can't make it up there during the week.

Any suggestions would be great.

I would not go to Wild West. I've have nothing but trouble from their parts and service for the last 2 years. Now that katy yami is open I would give them a try before taking it to wild west.

just my $.02

btw katy yami is on the west side of fry road. if you're coming from the east, exit westgreen and make a uturn. if from the west, exit fry and it's on your right.

Werd...WWH gave me a lot of grief over an exchange on some boots. I've been avoiding them since.

if you allready have the wheel off the bike, i would just find any old tire changing shop, or auto garage. discount tire, or whatever. takes 10 minutes to do, you could near get lucky and have someone do it free, or really cheap at least.

Try RPM Performance on Baker (it's just off I-10 past Greenhouse going eastbound) - turn right on Baker, it'll be on the left.

These guy's did a ton of work for a buddy of mine. And believe me I am a staunch fan of Motorcycles Unlimited, but these guys did the work for only 2/3 the price Motorcycles Unlimited wanted for mounting both tires, oil/filter change, replacing fork seals, and installing lowering link.

We didn't even know they worked on bikes but one day driving by saw they had a motorcycle lift in there. The owner was pretty cool too, and he rides.

Thanks for the info Challen.

Just got back from WCW. Met John and Drew. Got my tire changed for cheap. Good service and friendly people.

Plus watching John wrestle the tire on the NOMAR like a sweaty cage monkey was entertaining enough to be worth any price.
