SV650 racers: I need your help

I have a track bike which I bought last month. I have no idea if the engine is stock or not. It was previously raced by David Nolden a couple of years ago. I am not sure if I need to run race fuel or just plain pump gas. Will the plug type tell a story? Stock should be a CR8E. The bike has CR9EK's in it. Any help is appreciated

talk to patrick at Motorcycles Unlimited 281-444-0545. they do all the work on my SV. they know SV's in and out. Their awesome work shows through my results....i've been on the podium every race weekend this year so far thanks to their knowledge and skills.

if it has motorwork, you probably don't wanna run pump gas.

CR9EK does not necessarily mean there has been motor work. I ran those in my stock motor endurance SV because they are a hotter plug than the CR8E

Nolden was not a guy to build motors. Unless he boought it from someone already built, I'll put my dough it's a stocker.

Thanks John. Can you bring a Dragon Super Corsa front to TWS (Texas World Speedway) on June 20?

+1 to Angelo, Nolden's engine was stock, I know that bike particularly.

I'm pretty sure David's bike was stock.

The CR9EK is a dual electrode COLDER plug, desgned for extended high speed operation. We run them to help keep combustion chamber temps down.
I'd replace the plugs and check out the wires connection to the plug caps.
Feel free to give us a call if you have any questions.
