Kawasaki EX500 (on loan from a friend)
Pending, bikeless once the 500 gone :-(
Want Husky 510SMR or KTM 690 SMC to continue the hooligan activity

A Somewhat farewell....

Last day of my daily commuting and I'll be without a bike for probably a year or so until I get some cash saved up to by myself a motard. I'm thinking about getting a 50 for some fun, but I'll probably wait till I get my motard, and ride some supermoto track days. Wife supports a bike in the future, but responsibly I can't see enough cash for it till a year or 2 down the road. Hopefully sooner.

Back to the cage , the ex250 is dead from mechanical failure, the ex500 has been a jewel for the last few months, but my friend is back from boot camp and needs it back.... and I'm back to caging it in the GTI.

*note* For new riders or lurkers, I'd highly recommend the 250 then ex500 route. I feel that right now would be a perfect transition to the 650 without any issues.

I'll still lurk around of course.... but its a new season. Makes me kind of nostalgic. From when I was younger, never thought I'd ever ride and be the "cool one" riding down the road... as little kids longingly gaze after that exhaust note.... but my wife made it happen, can only thank her!

best wishes, i'll keep lurking

Well take some time off to remember what motorcycle riding is all about. Sounds kinda weird, but it actually works.

See ya around bro

Dude, how dead is your 250? There are a ton on CL right now for less then
$1500. You should be able to find a engine only for less then $500 from a
salvage yard. A floor jack and a few hours and bam, your riding again...

Man I hear ya. I had to sell my bike too because I needed the money to put into my business and couldn't justify having a race bike sitting in the garage.
I miss riding but then again, as long as the friends I made still talk to me without a bike all is good . Looking as well at a one to two year pause from riding. Stay on the positive side knowing that you'll be back on two wheels.

Mike

That is too bad.

You should have shoped around a bit more. Guy who races a EX250 just got a "new to him" used motor for $250.

Plug and play.
