Time for a new lid!

Ok I don't feel comfortable in my Fulmer at all. It is the SS fear and loathing matte black/flourescent red(it went good with the ninja) but now it is pretty loose and turns pretty easy in the wind. I want to get something a little more serious in the lines of pretection now that I am getting into trackdays more and more

I'm thinking about the AGV Rossi Five Continents. I've been talking to a guy at the Yamaha dealership down here and he has been really helpful with getting gear prices, and I told him I could find the helmet for $550 online and he said he could match that. Sound like a good price? Anybody have experience with the GP-Tech line that has anything positive or negative to say about it?

I'm not exclusive to this helmet but I really like the replicas though. The others I was eyeballing was the Arai Rx-7 Hayden Laguna, and the HJC FS-15 Spies Elbows replica. But the only thing is this helmet is super cheap and that kinda worries me for some reason

The dealer down here can't get Arai because they won't give him helmets unless he orders 5 or more, and he's not ready to put that much coin into getting these helmets that only a handful of people will buy down here

Thanks in advance, for any help guys

Well for what it's worth, I've had all of the helmets you have said other then the color, except the agv.

the rx7 is great but it's very very loud. the HJC is no matter how they package it it's still . I have a Carbon HJC collecting dust. I loved my rf1000 and my scorpion 700 too.

hope that helps

*edit* for the money I'd buy a shoei or scorpion

I had heard the shoei was pretty loud? But dunno if any of those people have ever had them or not.

It's a graduation present is the only reason I'm looking at high dollar helmets that I could never afford on my own haha. But I don't mind saving some coin and putting it towards something else. I have around $500 to deal with

Shoei's are not that loud i never had a problem with mine until it got stolen.

That's all i complain about with my Arai it's its too noisy.

i'd go with a scorpion or shoei but thats just me.

Shoei X11 FTMFW! It CAN have a little noise with all of the vents open, but it breaths better than any helmet I've ever owned.

you guys have left out probably one of the sweetest and will for sure be my next helmet..

suomy.. I have never heard a negative thing about them except the iridium tint on the visor peeling.. I can live with that no big deal

I have a shoei rf-1000 and if I didnt get it for a little bit of nothing I would of bought a suomy for sure. At the end of this season I will be getting a suomy

yeah go try all these on in the end its what fits you and what you like.. I wish there was a place where you could rent and ride with a lid.. one of the first helmets I bought was an HJC its super comfortable and then I pulled out of the dealership and could barely hear my engine there was so much wind noise..

No place down here to try ish on, it sucks..

All they stock is Icon, some bottom of the line HJC's, and xSpeeds. And at a max probably 3 Arais.

The Spec 1r Extremes are very nice helmets. However, they are louder than the other helmets.

At the track I will probably have headphones, and on loong trips on the highway I will probably have some tunes. around town I can deal with more noise though.

What size did you get? If you come to TWS (Texas World Speedway) and have it with you could I try it on for a few minutes?

I'm sorry I misstyped that I meant to say earplugs at the track and headphones on loong highway trips.

DOH! And the edit time won't let me fix it lol.

I know you got the powah hook it up, and go ahead and delete this one too if you're not doing anything haha
