There are a handful of women on here who ride and LOVE to ride. There are also some girls on here we call curbmonkeys, because they do not ride. Most of them started out dating somebody on here and when they broke up, the girl just stayed to get attention and meet other guys- that's why everybody was commenting on Amber and Scatter coming in your welcome thread and being mean to you. BUT you want to ride, so you don't get the treatment!

You can ask ? in PM's or just post a thread about anything you're curious about. If you ask noob ?'s then we're sure to tease you, but you seem like you'll be able to take it!

i search my screen name and this is what i find??

welcome welcome though

I dont think you should start on an R6, theyre nice and all but the have a LOT of power. I think you should start on the Ninja 650 like theyve said, my buddy just got his about 3 weeks ago, he gots the GS500F and its a blast to ride. I know youre probably wondering why so many people are telling you not to get such an awesome bike, but PLEASE, listen to what they say, its for your own safety. Riding a motorcycle is not a game. Most of the people that are giving you advice have years of experience and have already been in a motorcycle accident before(Ive been in one), so take it from them, they know what theyre talking about. And I dont think you should do a track day any time soon, I think you should have at least 6 months of experience under your belt before you even think about the track because trust me, those turns can be really intimidating and you can really mess your self up on them, but do take the MSF, it will help you a LOT. Oh and yeah, one last thing, watch out for the leg humpers lol

i have had my bike since november and took MSF in April. I am still not confident on busy streets. but it could also be because I hardly ever get to ride.

Good luck on your first bike, but, please, don't buy it new and then ride it on the track... IF you go down on the track you may be stuck paying for a bike you can't ride, but still have to pay for (and pay to fix).

Save your monies and get something used to start on- just to learn. I'm sure plenty of ppl on here will be happy to tell you how many times they dropped their first bike in the first few months... it's not worth it to break your pretty new toy. And you WILL drop it- just happens. Then, when you're ready (usually about six months of reg. riding) go buy your brand new R6

***My cousin bought a brand new R6 in Jan (wouldn't listen to advice from others) and he's dropped it plenty and already spent $$$ fixing all the that broke- not to mention the beautiful plastics are scraped now.

+ 100 on squoddy's advice. Which part of north houston? If u wanna ride sometime or any advice let me know, good luck. It can be a little intimidating at 1st but u'll get. Take it slow and Never let anyone push u beyond ur comfort zone. welcome aboard

You don't always have to roll Wide Open Throttle all the time! I agree they have tons of power, but if you are careful you will be fine.

I will have to totally disagree with that. A Track Day is not a race, but there to improve your riding skills. That is why you attend class in Novice and Intermediate. It will greatly improve your skills and help fine tune high speed manuevering in a controled environment.

And to Switch. Soon sir! I will be back to the track again!

Well, shouldnt she get comfortable on the bike first and have quite a couple of months of experience out on the road before trying to ride at a more faster pace?
