Sanitizing Your Gear

Back Story:

The other day I left work early to "try" and beat the monsoon that hit us, but that did not work out so well All of my gear got entirely soaked. Well I left my gear out to dry a little bit and of course it smelled a bit tangy. It wasn't that bad, but I do clean my gear fairly often so I figured it was a good time to wash my gear anyways.

Poll Question

How often do you wash your gear? Please explain below..

I haven't ever washed my gear. My helmet smells good, too! I love to put it on and breathe it in! I think it's because I put it on in the morning when I get out of the shower and my hair is still wet.

If you have a textile or mesh jacket you can wash it whenever it's dirty- take out the pads and throw it in the machine on gentle, HANG to dry.

My leather jacket just has to suffer, and I've never even thought about washing my gloves or knee pads.

Dry cleaning isn't necessary, but they can launder it if it's washable, if it's leather they can leather-clean.
