Young Gunz Racing

I want to say a special thanks to my teamates. For thos of you that don't know about us let me give you a quick description.

Moe- 22 couple years of racing experience mainly in tmgp.
Brandon- 18 yers old first year on big bikes
Zeb- 21 first year on Big Bikes
Dean-21 first year of racing less than 10 TD's and races combined.
Darryl-crew cheif
Ron- Crew cheif

Only Brandon, Moe and myself made hallett over the weekend. Brandon did the friday trackday and was able to give me and moe some advice saturday morning. Moe had an advantage b/c he did mini sprints on saturday morning so he got a feel for the track. me on the other hand only seen it one hour prior to the race. Ask anyone it is not a very easy track to learn. I asked around and tried to get all the tips i could. Next step? SEAT TIME. Unfortunately i missed a shift and went off in the mud on my first stint. We would have had fourth and a great chance at third if not for this. Finishing behind teams like Apex and LSTD is nothing to be ashamed of anyday.

I want to thank my teamates for their time and patience. I really feel like we got a good time put together and will continue to improve each race. And so far we have. We said going in we were not going for a championship just for fun. But man the competitive juices are beginning to flow.

Linz,
Thanks for all the advice. I was able to put down some pretty quick lap times for the short period of time I was able to practice. I ended up losing 14 seconds from my practice times. And lots of it was due to your off track coaching. Oh thanks for the 30 second penalty alos

I love the track! It is very technical, but alot faster than oak Hill. Too bad its so far away.

All in all it was an awesome day. 5th place should have been better. I want to apologize to my team for blowing this one. One of these days we wont have no mishaps and get us a podium.

yeah cliff! too bad I couldnt play on the mini's with you. would have helped big tyme. You were looking good out there.

Godzuki,
thanks! This racing stuff is a blast. I have along way to go but I can see noticable improvements all the time. Following Dustin Dominguez through turn one almost gave me a heart attack but I kept up with him for a half a lap LMAO

I dont feel so bad for the false neutral. I seen ben bostrom and that geoff guy do it in the same turn pretty much back to back at barber.

Godzuki,
I owe you a special thanks. You remind me daily of who not to be like, with out you I would be normal and average. Thanks for the inspiration

Congrats on the finishes, being the first time on the track. Mishaps and crashes are just part of racing, shouldn't feel too bad about it.
We had a muffler broken off, and crashed too.

only appologizing b/c we had fourth in the bag and with the trouble LSTD were having possibly 3rd place.

5Th is still respectable in our class.

I know ya'll were having issues also. too bad because ya'll were rolling out there.

Dean,

You did good, crashes are a part of racing. We've moved into 5th overall in our class of 12 bikes.

We still have a chance of placing well, with 20 hours of racing to go. Alot can change, that's the nature of the game.

Congrats to everyone that manned up and drove/flew to Hallett, OK from Houston. Weather held up very well! Stayed in 70s all day long!

See you guys at the next round!

Busted! Like I said, though, you weren't the only ones. Some got two and a couple got three.

Good job, guys. Very solid effort and the epitome of endurance racing: lay down strong laps and be there when the checked flag flies. Dare I predict a podium for this team before season's end?

Oh, and Dean, aren't you 27?
