, whatever that photographer is doing... fish eye, flash, disposable camera, whatever it is I would pay for pics like those. I want one of me like that to blow up for my garage.

Unfortunately, for the photogs at a lot of events they are limited to certain corners or distances and a great majority of the pics look the same.

just throwing this out there, but I thought I'd offer... I don't race and I've never really even been to an event as a spectator, but I am pretty heavily into photography as a hobby. I'd be willing to do some shots for motohouston members sometime (for free) if I can make the event (schedule-wise)... shoot me a pm if you're interested and let me know what/where/when the event is and I'd be happy to give it a shot.

your problem is going to be to get good shots like this multiple things would have to happen

A. most trackday orgs have a dedicated photog
B. most tracks facilities limit where the photogs can take shots from on the infield
C. see all of the above

well, I'm ignorant when it comes to layout of the track and what/how many photogs can shoot...

I have pocket wiz's and shoot everything from 12mm to 600mm prime as well as extenders.

From your explanation, it sounds like the events are fairly well covered... just was offering for no other reason than I wanted to help out the forum community. It's all good.

Thanks for the info anyway.

I'd rather be on the ground and have the ability to pan and change settings when need be. Sticking a camera out there is like playing Russian ruliet with getting a decent number of good shots

Exactly, without hesitation, I would throw $ down on some pics like that.

Well it's not so much of a photographer willing to get out there as to getting the access to get there.
