You know, Rossi is one of my idols, as he is for many of us, but Ben Spies just flat out inspires the out of me.

The guy is a fvcking animal........should be one of a race. He owes Fabby one.

Why does he owe Fabrizio... he didn't do him any favors for laying down such a strong time, nor did he let Spies have the pole... he earned it, just like the other 5.

Yesterday was a sad day for Yamaha

So six rounds in and Haga has an 80 point lead after 10 years of trying on Yamahas and Aprilias, Brat boy lies second after doing next to nothing on a Honda!!!
Course they have no advantage running 1200cc do they

Regis Laconi has been placed in a pharmacological coma following an accident at the start of World Superbike free practice at Kyalami.

The Frenchman crashed on his first flying lap around the South African circuit, his head making hard contact with the tarmac to warrant immediate medical attention.

Stabilised at the track side before being airlifted to Sunnington Hospital in Sandton, Laconi is suspected to have fractured his cervical vertebrae.

With a CAT scan revealing a significant cranial trauma, Laconi was subsequently placed into a coma for the time being in order for them to monitor his progress. Nonetheless, while Laconi is considered to be on the 'danger list', a press release issued by the DFX Corse team says Laconi has seemingly not suffered any neurological trauma and is able to move his limbs.

He is scheduled to be operated on tonight when two plates will be inserted to support his vertebral column where he has suffered his injury.

The team stated that he came off the track at a high-speed left hander, violently striking the top of his body and his head.

WSBK » Laconi out of coma
Regis Laconi continues to make progress in his recovery from the heavy Friday practice session crash that left him hospitalised with broken cervical vertebrae and on the critical list.

The French rider, who crashed on his out lap in the opening session of the weekend's World Superbike meeting at Kyalami, remains in intensive care at Johannesburg's Sunninghill Hospital, but has improved sufficiently for doctors to consider pressing on with the operation to stabilise his neck injury.

Despite having been advised to delay the procedure for several days, Laconi's condition has been upgraded enough to bring him out of the medically-induced coma into which he was placed on arrival at the hospital and to schedule the operation to insert metal plates to stabilise the vertebrae for Tuesday [19 May].

There was further good news for friends and family as Laconi showed 'signs of autonomous movement' in both his upper and lower limbs on being brought out of the coma, supporting the results of Saturday's CT scan, which suggested that there had been minimal nerve damage in the accident.

The French veteran will have to remain in Sunninghill for at least two weeks while doctors assess his recovery, but could be transferred to Paris after that in order to complete his rehabilitation closer to home.
Great news

Don't forget the restricted airbox, stock rods and weight penalty that of course makes the Duc faster

Just admit it, the maistro SUPER BAYLISS developed a fine machine.

Oh and it is 88 please, to cheer you up, Juan (Johnny) is coming lol

Great knews about Laconi.

Du-crappies have been strong there in the past. It's no mystery that they're strong there still.....

That track isn't well suited for those who ride their bike on the edge, like Spies. It's a rough track with little room for error.

Don't worry Alrova......Miller is next on the list.

restricted airbox and weight penalty my
the Flamini brothers just like the way Tardozzi swallows
give 'em 1000cc like everybody else and if they want to run a twin, great, better pull off the corner, better tyre management etc but this 1200cc is bullshit

anyway, goodmorning alrova, how are you today????
oh yea, that's right, you're fkn loving it

notice how the 5000 feet above sea level hardly efeected the Ducs, that's cause when you got combustion chambers the size of dustbins it don't matter

no wonder my blood pressure is up

must calm down, breathe, b r e a t h e, that's it
