Riding this weekend 3/4 - 3/5/2006

Just wanted to toss a heads up out there. If you are going to be riding in the Northwest this weekend (Fayetteville, Racer road, etc.) there will be bicycle riders galore. This weekend is a pre-MS150 run. So be carefull. I have had these guys take up a whole lane and some have crashed in front of me. Some have even went into the oncoming lane as I apporached. They just tend to not look at where in the fark they are going. Be safe!

Weather looks iffy at the moment anyways. Good time to get out and party.

Also remember that other cars on the road are akin to avoid the bicyclists and not to pay attention to the oncoming bike... (head on scenario)

Yeah, it seems like they are everywhere. I always see them up 149. My brother had one dart out in front of him in a curve on 149. He went off the road @ about 100-120 to avoid an oncoming truck pulling a horse trailer. Slid, missed trees(?). barbed wire stopped him and the bike! These bicyclist suck ! Watch out!

not to sound like a , but do you know the motovation behind the MS150? IMO, we should have a little respect for them, especially since they ride further in 2 days under their own power than many of us motorcyclists ride in a weekend.
