I just bought a X-lite 901,reviews said that it's incredibly quiet with the vents closed, because everything, shield and vents, are flush with the surface of the helmet. I haven't had the chance to test it myself, but I'll post something as soon I do.

I agree i have a pair of Rf900 and they are not quiet. i also have a pair of nolan N100, the flip up kind and they MAY be a little quieter than the RF-900s
I just got a chatterbox thingee for myself and the pasenger, but i believe i will need the neck skirt also.
Who has them? maybe cyclegear?
later

not HJC either. suprisingly the KBC i had is better that the shoei i use to have, along with these two HJC's i have now.

the KBC can be seen in my sig and now is trashed after i face plated at the track. so yes, it works!

I bought a new throat mic off of ebay for 20 bucks. Works great w/the chatterbox and cuts out nearly all of the wind noise associated with the standard mic.

oh yeah, I ended up buying a Scorpion from Patrick @ Motorcycles Unlimited. A lot less noise than my HJC.

I have a KBC Racer 1 with a Chatterbox. I wear ear plugs and have no problem with the wind. Yes, it is noisy, as with any well ventilated helmet. However, earplugs make all the difference!!!

lol yeah... the arai's i've owned have been the loudest ones. But i didn't mind too much cuz it gave some of the best venting ever, so i can't complain. Just pick up a pair of earplugs and you'll be set!
