I gotta tell you man, that is a FAIL statement right there in regards to motorcycles. Cars? Yeah, I can see that.

You know they have classes like they do in CMRA and AMA....right? Displacement limits, suspension limits, power adder limits? Racing in a class is racing. Bracket racing isn't about being fast, its about being consistant.

In both sports people eventually reach the limits of their equipment. It just so happens that you get there a LOT sooner on the dragstrip than on a roadcourse. Which is the point I was trying to make, but apparently missed my mark.

you stated how much you dislike dragracers with hidden mods and hidden times ... that told me all i needed to know about your dragracing skills..
And this matters how? My skill, or lack there of, is not up for debate. That is, unless you're implying that if I was a better drag racer that people at the strip would magically be nicer and less secretive.

And what does a hidden shot of nitrous have to do with drag racing skill? I'm sorry, I don't think I can continue this discussion. You're too stupid for me to even follow.

I say everything and I try to be friendly but dragging is instant about beating someone and the track is out to ride andg etting better and better its just drag race is more competitive and instant like people calling people out the whole time hence the secrecy.

easier to tell which is best by the quality of women.

Drag racing has alway competed with NASCAR for the bottom of the barrel. MotoGP / WSBK / F1 etc. take the top cut.

I've drag raced cars, I've drag raced trucks. , I'll even probably make a few passes in my diesel when I get a tuner. Its kinda fun, if a bit short lived. I have no interest whatsoever in running my bike. Why? Becase my bike was designed with the best handling possible in mind. Seems kind of out of character to say "**** all that engineering, I just want to go straight for 9 seconds and change." Secondly, the people I've met at trackdays are WAY nicer than the people I've met at drag strips (caveat: car people). Everyone at the drag strip likes to think they're some famous pro 5.0 racer with a bunch of secret under the hood. They talk a lot of , lie a lot about what they got, and are generally unhelpful. People at trackdays are much nicer. Lastly (and tying in with the above) Roadracing is more about skill and less about money than drag racing. In drag racing, good equipment (read: money) can make up for a LOT in rider skill. Not so with roadracing. Someone with a clapped out SV650 can still ride circles around someone with the latest 1k rocketship. Therefore there's less "secret sauce" on the bikes, and people are more open to talking about them.
well put.
however i by no means look down on people who like drag race.
