Mathew Barrera

Mathew Barrera, on trial in Richmond, Texas, awaits the jurys decision as to what "punishment" he will face after pleading guilty to vehicular manslaughter. The three time repeat "Driving While Intoxicated" offender says he wants probation for his third DWI offense, which cost a motorcyclist his life. Barrera's blood alcohol level was .27 (three times the legal limit), and an open case of beer was found in the front passenger side floor board of his car.
I'm sure he won't do more than a nickel in a minimum security facility, if he does any time at all. How many times does it take before it's considered murder? Oh -- that's right, he only killed a motorcyclist. It wasn't like he killed a grandmother, infant, or anyone of importance. So what if he was chemically impaired. Barrera is a three time repeat offender. There is NO excuse for someone who takes another individuals life, on his [perpetrater] third offense for the exact same crime. Excuse me -- I suddenly feel the need to vomit.

Probation is fine. Then let's invite him over for a party; the kind where we all beat him while he's sleeping. What's that called?

I would suggest Pancho Villa's favorite form of interrogation for starters.

It would be cool if we can get a bunch of motorcyclist out there in front of the courthouse and have a rally to lock this hole up for a long time....

lawyer says he is a "changed man" with 20 witnesses to go with it..

i cant stand like him... OWN UP TO YOUR MISTAKES. TAKE IT LIKE A MAN.

why is everybody so scared about standing up for fukups? admit guilt. deal with it. move on. be a man.

oh, i'm sorry..filth has no spine, and cant stand up on its own. it gets kicked around on the floor. finding whatever cracks to settle into and be undisturbed..

It's simple arrogance coupled with a lack of integrity. The very fact that this "individual" is persuing a sentence of mere probation is a testament to the amount of remorse he feels.

I don't think that you have anything to worry about unless you've recently murdered a motorcyclist, and want to walk away with a slap on the wrist.

As unfortunate as it is. . .the laws won't change until EVERYONE who kills a motorcyclist is charged with murder.

In no way will i ever be able to feel your pain, but in some small way, i can feel your anger. I've lost several good friends, and GREAT people to vehicular manslaughter, although it is rarely charged as such. Godspeed to those who were taken from us for they will never return.

I understand what direction you were trying to take, and I appreciate it. However -- I just can't seem to purge the disgust I have for this pathetic piece of trash who claims to be a member of my species (human).
