Thumbs up HPD (Houston Performance Driving) Hosts Midnight 1320: Street Wars @ LMP! 5/30 (Sat).

S! MotoHouston Racers!

HPD has opened a BIKE CLASS! (Unlimited). He had about +10 bikes racing last Midnight 1320. This has prompted us to open a class just for bikes. Hope to have you guys/gals with us on May 30th!

The first Midnight 1320 or 2009 is finally on the calendar! The HPD Staff had a planned date for May 30th (Saturday). Be looking for generally the same structure had the last 1200:1320. However, HPD will be adding some new features and classes. We are looking at the possibility of a cash payout. We are always up for suggestions so please PM Garett Oliphant (G-Z06) or Troy Dixon (xtc4us). Also any Mod or Admin can also help you.

Please check your calendars and get this date set. Take the time now to start getting your ride ready for the event.

(July-2008) Midnight 1320 Vid!

HPD Media Staff Vid.

600 spectators + 120 drag racers = for one of a night!

(November-2008) Midnight 1320 Vid!

480 spectators + 115 drag racers = another great 1200:1320

*Midnight 1320: Street Wars Outline and General Information.*

I. Mission Statement:

- There has been a massive amount of attention and criticism of the street scene here in Houston. Street racing has caused many injuries and even deaths in H-Town. It's now time to stop this behavior and take it to the track. Houston Performance Driving is stepping up to the plate with John Hessnessy/Lonestar Motorsports Park (LMP) to educated newbs and old cats a like on good old fashion 1/4m drag racing.

- Give the track a chance! If you are a street racer...it's guaranteed that if you give the track a chance. You will feel that rush you get, however in a controlled environment , safe, ticket-free racing. YOU WILL GET HOOKED ON TRACK!

- Houston Performance Drivings mission is to bring all the race crews, independents, and shops together for a different kind of track night* with a street racing theme. Please understand that HPD is NOT* a car club! It is simply a forum where people with a passion for performance driving can go to find out what activities are happening in their area.

HPD Staff.
Hurricane Alley Drag Races had it's most recent event at Lone Star. Even with the May 16/17 threatening weather , we had over 100 entries in our all bike classes. Staff at the track really did a great job. You'll have a good time there. We plan on having another event there later this year, so get some time in on that track at their other events.

I was there and had never been to that track. I knew with all the bikes lumped together I didn't stand a chance, but I went for the heck of it anyway. I didn't get there until 7:30pm and by 11:15 had my second run in. That was about it for me since I live near Webster. Still had fun but it was a little scary learning a new track in the dark.
