just supporting the troops out there.

matt , caleb, chance, and the rest of my old HS crew that left the comfort of home to fight

what do i do? i pray that they get to come home safe, so we can just chill on the lake. i pray they get to see me after i graduate and move onto bigger and better things. and i pray that i get to see them again.

my job title is air load planner.

I balance military aircraft according to regulations during chapter 3 movements in OIF/OEF. It's my job to get the guns, ammo, troops, and cargo to any downrange station.

I did this working as a soldier for 16 months while deployed to OEF. I worked out of a laptop at almost every Forward Operating Base you can think of in Afghanistan. If you want to talk about me, you need to know me.

I'm on here most of the time now because what I did is the smart thing. I got OUT of the military and became a contractor. I do the same thing, with a layed back job. I work out of "regular" airport in Kandahar Afghanistan. This is what I do, I get paid for this. Out of the 13 hours, I work maybe 6. But I don't really need to explain myself. It just aggrevates me when people say all this about support the troops. What do I do? I visit the local moral and welfare center and give out phone cards so troops can call home. I give let them use my machine when the computers are down for most of the base (happens a lot for the base, but the airport never stops). I just recently bought a router and some cat-5 cable because they like playing halo 2 to kill time. now they can run 16 player games.

What the do you do?

i just want people to understand that "support our troops" isn't just a cool phrase to put at the end of your emails. it's something that you should actually do if you believe in it.

i'm not directing my email towards anyone specific, just so you know.

i think prayers are important and do play a big roll.
they boost morale of the soldiers when they get a letter from home wishing them the best and letting them know they ahve someone praying for them.
