I rent, but my landlord bought my house for 39k in 96 and that site is saying it is worth 221k. Lot value is 200k. I hate renting!

It may not be THAT far off, as the HCAD is 2005 and the site Ed posted is current. But thenagain, what do I know... I'm still a fairly new home owner!

I just looked up my parent's house (the only house I ever lived in)...they just sold it and that site put it at 127K. They bought it for like 80K 22 years ago but they won't tell me how much they sold it for, haha! Isn't that info public? Hmm....hehe (sneaky)

About $20k lower that what the a few banks have valued it at. Based on what this site values it at we are running about $50k in equity.
And don't compare what zillo states and what hcad states. All you want from hcad is for them to value it lower so you don't pay more tax.

I just checked the HCAD and it puts it right at 123K...not bad.
Made me REALLY sad to see the other person's name on the listing of the address though...the only house I've ever lived in and now someone else is living there. Sucks.
