Hmmm, so how does that work? When TD orgs aren't hosting events out there racers can get together and reserve the track?

there are no trackday orgs that run out there except LSTD....and LSTD only does events there pre-race days...or sometimes when they host some benefit trackdays (from what i remembered in the past).

kart racers have race events out there sometimes....other than that....oak hill is open to most all racers for $100, cmra riders get to ride for $75 on any given day of the week. all you gotta do is call the track manager first.

Daryl (track manager)

you don't necessarily need your bike cmra legal....but fellow racers won't like you very much if you decide to spill anti-freeze all over the track, or your oil filter loosens up and you spill oil everywhere. you get the idea.

Oh yea, there's my justification for spending all the $ on getting my CMRA lic. . . . .SWEEEEET!

Thanks for the info Tony. If I go, I'll most likely be on the 636 and since it's gonna be my race bike, I'll have her race legal ready to go WOOT!

no headlights, taillights or mirrors are allowed at oak hill, daryl will check, highly sugest wiring oil filter.oil filler oildrain plug. there is no one ther to clean up oil spill issues. this does not take long and other ohr participates will not be happy if there day is done due to a oil spill.

Juanted, only if you want to get that persons lice. suspended per CMRA rule book, I would suggest, you go to cmraracing.com and read the rule book. we take a very dim view of non lic. people on a race track Daryl has a list of cmra lic. riders and lic numbers. Don't do it

Don't do that man. Ditto what the chief said plus...if I understand correctly there are no flagmen, no emt, no ambulance...not a place to be fkn around at. Which is why, even tho I have a license and have 30+ track days and a few sprints, I still want others to be there..hence this thread.

cdill35 gave the best answer to you the worst place for a non racer to be is on astrange new track with some racers, sure way for a crash, usually the new guy who always knew he could do it, well go to a cmra lic.school get into racing the right way-safer for you and every one on the track with you.
thanks, Kevin CMRA Chief tech inspector 30 years plus at this ex276
